The Health Educator Opportunity

The Hippocrates Health Educator Program offers personal and career experiences in three principle areas:

  • Hippocrates lifestyle and nutritional education (living foods nutrition)
  • Personal discovery and strength with realized self-actualization
  • Cutting-edge complimentary therapies

Hippocrates Lifestyle and Nutritional Education

Chef Kelly Teaches ClassAs a Hippocrates Health Educator student, you begin your training in our three-week Life Change Program. Seminars and conferences in the Life Change Program are given by experienced Hippocrates professionals, while evening activities feature local health professionals. During these three weeks, you are taught the fundamentals of the Hippocrates nutritional program and explore related supportive practices. You will also detoxify physically, mentally, and emotionally, and recharge in preparation for the weeks that follow.

The following six weeks of the program provide an integrated health program presented by established accredited professionals, all related to the living foods lifestyle. There are two tests during the course: a mid-term, covering the core program, and a final comprehensive examination, covering the dynamics of the specialized conferences and lectures, in-depth training and the assigned readings. Evening hours and weekends are reserved for reading, study, and project work; to graduate, each student is required to prepare and deliver a final presentation, and develop a personal life or business plan.

Presentations
Presentations are the essence of connecting with people about the living foods lifestyle. Whether we realize it or not, we are making a presentation every time we speak with someone. How do you attract and hold people's attention? How do you present information that may be viewed as a challenge to others? What is the best way you can present information on the living foods lifestyle? We will help you to answer all of these questions in addition to providing coaching and training on the organization and delivery of presentations. We will also support you to represent the Hippocrates Program in a natural way, accessing your unique talents and creativity. All presentations are delivered to your colleagues, are 20 minutes in length and cover an aspect of the living foods lifestyle of your choice. Accolades and feedback are provided after each presentation in a safe, fun and loving way.

Personal Life or Business Plan
Having a tangible written plan is essential to clarifying, monitoring and achieving your goals and dreams. At the beginning of the course we discuss the essence as well as the critical elements of a successful and usable plan. Throughout the course you will create the personal life and business plan of your choice with weekly support from the director of the program. Plans are submitted at graduation and reviewed by Brian Clement as well as representatives from Healthful Communications, Inc.

Purpose and History
The Hippocrates Health Educator Program was developed to provide an extensive learning experience about the practice and teachings of the living foods lifestyle. It is designed to provide you with the necessary fundamentals from which you can successfully live the lifestyle and educate others about it. While the cornerstone of the Hippocrates Health Educator Program is an education in living foods nutrition, the program also provides students with a concise introduction to complimentary therapies and related disciplines that are essential for a healthy and well-rounded approach to life.

This multidisciplinary curriculum attracts students from around the globe who, in a short but intensive nine-week period, come to embody the basic principles of the living foods lifestyle. Graduates leave with the knowledge and confidence to make the living foods lifestyle a permanent part of their life. It is a gift to dedicated individuals who want to share the possibility of a natural, healthy lifestyle with a struggling human population. The program affords you and a wide variety of conscious people, from many backgrounds, the opportunity to experience the benefits of a living foods lifestyle firsthand. Some participants are health care professionals such as therapists, nutritionists, nurses, psychologists and physicians, while others come from non-health related fields; all students, however, share a deep regard for health and nutrition.

The original concept grew out of the personal vision of Brian Clement while he was directing the Hippocrates Health Institute in Boston in the early 1980's. The present program, with its new home in West Palm Beach, Florida, has expanded from its modest beginnings into a unique opportunity for those interested in pursuing an alternative health care profession, or to improve personal health and help family, friends, and clients. Since its inception, this program has graduated students from 27 countries. As a result of their enhanced levels of self-esteem and awareness, most of the graduates have become increasingly directed and vital people. Many have created or become involved in nutritional counseling services, fitness centers, sprouting and organic farming businesses, and a wide variety of other fulfilling and humanitarian causes.

These life-enhancing sessions are offered every year, featuring some of the most reputable teachers in the world of alternative care. Also, in the near future the program is expanding to include a historic educational project designed to introduce health care professionals and their staffs to the alternative healthcare movement. Times are changing and the medical and insurance worlds are beginning to recognize the effectiveness of complimentary healthcare and the many natural avenues to increased vitality. We now invite you to become a part of this legacy.

Here's What Some of Our Graduates Have to Say About the Hippocrates Health Educator Program:

"I was not new to Hippocrates or the living foods lifestyle before entering the Educator Program, having been mostly raw and teaching the lifestyle for several years, and having brought several groups to visit Hippocrates over the years. So I expected this to be a great experience, but even so, it far exceeded my expectations. Of course the information presented covers a wide latitude of modalities from a large number of teachers and lecturers, so you get A LOT of useful information for healing not just the physical, but also the emotions and spirit. There are so many useful bits of information from so many sources there is no way one person could accumulate the knowledge in such a short time. But the course itself is a profound healing experience, not just the initial three-week detox, but the entire nine-week process. You are with a group of very special individuals to begin with, and the group bonds as each person goes through his or her own transformation. Connecting with the guests and watching them heal as they come through each week is in itself an uplifting education. Making friends with guests, Hippocrates staff, and fellow educators is an unexpected gift as well. Every single person of the 17 in my group left visibly transformed, and several commented that it was the best experience of their lives. If you are wondering if the program is worth the cost, yes, it is a bargain when you look at what you really get".

Ken Rohla, Natural Health Educator, Fall 2005

"Being a naturopath, I wasn't "new" to natural health when I attended the Hippocrates Health Educator Program, but this program brought a great enrichment to both my personal and professional life. It gave me a deep insight into living food that has not been surpassed because, despite the many books I have read on the subject, it enabled me to experience firsthand the Hippocrates Life Change Program for two months, leading to a new me, more confident, more positive and willing to create the life that truly meets my deepest beliefs".

Claudine Richard, Naturopath, Fall 2003

"My blood is flowing with inspiration as well as wheatgrass! After a few days of confusion, it became clear as to how I was going to marry my profession as a speech therapist with the program, specifically teaching caretakers how to promote a healthy lifestyle for children with communication and learning challenges. The Health Educator Program put me in touch with my passions in life, fed my thirst for knowledge, and gave me plenty of hands-on learning. I recommend this program to anyone who has benefited from the three-week Life Change Program and wants to take it further, or for others who want to start to find their passion in life".

Laura Newman, Fall 2002

"The Hippocrates Health Educator course was a life-changing experience. The course allowed me to better understand and follow the Hippocrates lifestyle on a daily basis. I received a large amount of information on many different approaches to natural healing and am now able to relate this information to others in a professional manner. During the course I experienced a lot of holistic growth and made lifelong friends with the other students and instructors. I also let go a lot of past issues and negativity. I am now on a path where I can focus on my own well-being and help others to improve their minds, bodies, and spirits".

Tom McKean, Fall 2002

"I left the Hippocrates Health Educator Program a different person, it changed my life and I will never be the same. The knowledge and experience gained from the program is unmatched by any education I have ever received. My mission to become more balanced mentally, physically, and spiritually was achieved through the living food lifestyle at Hippocrates. The encounter at Hippocrates was unforgettable and exceeded my expectations".

Samantha Bryant, Summer 1999

"This course has laid the groundwork for me in so many ways, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, as well as physically, to be able to carry out and carry on with a business and a lifestyle that will truly sustain me. I can't begin to express my gratitude for what you all have accomplished here. It is an honor to be a part of it"!

Debora Robles, Summer 1999

"I can remember a time when I thought having a car or money was the most important thing. Spending six weeks with a dozen of the most incredible people I have ever met has changed that. I don't care so much for what I have, I just want to make sure that I'll share it with the right people.... This program has changed my perspectives forever, and that's the greatest gift anyone could ask for".

Ludovic Brunel, Summer 1999

"Before attending the Health Educator program, I thought I knew a great deal about the holistic health arena; having been an eager participant since the early 1970's. These years of work proved to be a foundation ...for the intense amount of new information I have been privy to during ...the Health Educator Program. Here, I experienced teachers of the highest caliber ...The variety and the quality of the program format has truly deepened my understanding of the commitment involved in achieving my sought-after 'radiant health.' I highly recommend the program to anyone who shares this commitment to achieve true health for themselves, their families, and their community".

Renee Ferry, Summer 1998

"The Hippocrates Health Educator Course is phenomenal. The benefits are deep and worked on all levels of my life. My goals of both education and emotional enhancement have been more than met. Thank you...for this great growth experience. This is the best of the best, becoming even greater".

Brooke Peterson, Summer 1999
